Ear Wax Removal

Ear wax is completely natural. It’s designed to protect and moisturize the skin of your ear canal. Wax removal is ideal for anyone with a history of eardrum perforation, middle ear problems, previous ear surgery or discomfort.

Having too much earwax can result in pain and even temporary hearing loss if not kept under control. Sometimes listening to music or performing any activity that produces sound can be painful due to excess wax blocking out the noise you need to hear.

This article aims to show you the best earwax removal method that works, that is perfectly safe, and requires no special, professional, or expensive equipment. In just a few simple steps you will be on your way to having a better quality of life, and be able to live a more normal life.

1) Home Remedies for Ear Wax Removal : The treatment is extremely simple. Simply mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and vinegar. You will then place several drops of this mixture into your ear and allow it to sit for roughly 5 minutes. During this time the peroxide will  loosen the wax and the vinegar will act as a gentle disinfectant. After about 5 minutes you should tilt your head sideways in order to drain the mixture out of your ear. The treatment is then repeated for the other side of the ear. This is one of the most popular home remedies for the removal of ear wax. Some people find success with this remedy while others are not so lucky. The reasoning behind this is that some people's ear canals are much tougher and thicker making it more difficult for any wax to come out. Another possible reason for some people's lack of success with this remedy is that some people's ears are just too sensitive, and this can cause intense pain in their ears.

2)  Cotton Swab Ear Wax Removal Method : After reading through the home remedies above and you feel that neither of them are quite for you, there is always another simple way to remove the ear wax. This method is a little riskier than the previous, but as we stated earlier, some people just prefer the direct approach. To start, you will need to take a clean, dry cotton swab and gently insert it into your ear. Gently push the swab a little further into your ear and begin to turn in a clockwise rotation. You will want to continue this motion gently for about 30 seconds. After 30 seconds have passed, you will want to make sure you thoroughly remove the  cotton swab from your ear. Some people will do this by simply pulling it out while others prefer to tilt their head sideways and pull from outside of their body. Just make sure that you clear it all out!

There are many ways that people remove excessive earwax on their own at home but it usually just ends up being more trouble than it's worth, time consuming, or simply ineffective at all - resulting in them seeking professional help from an Audiologist nearby instead!
